Jb/Jazz installation problem!

I've just installed the JB/Jazz pickups in my Epiphone G310, now...i soldered the red/white wires together, soldered the green/bare wires together and put them back against the wire casing covered with heat shrink. I connected the black wire to the necessary pots...but there is NO sound AT ALL. Someone PLEASE help me!!!

i'm not sure what this means

did you make sure the that green and bare wires are not only soldered to each other, but also soldered to somewhere that also makes an electrical path to the sleeve of the guitar's output jack?
