I am thinking about putting my JB/Jazz combo on my telecaster. i have seen this done with 250k pots. What will be tonal difference between 250k and my squiers "500k"

if you read the JB's description... it says that many players do this to cut some of the high's.

I've used the JB with 300k and 500k before. The 300k certainly took some off the top end. I've also used the Jazz with 300K and 500K and settled with the 300K for that as well (in a LP no less, so I already started with a darker guitar than a tele). The nice thing about using 500K is if you want the extra treble you can get it with a simple turn of a tone knob. But when you are like me and always had the tone rolled back when using 500Ks then it only makes sense to user a lesser value pot.
