JB jr b in neck of fat strat - Surprisingly good!

Put a JB jr bridge model in the neck of my frankenstein fat strat project and am very happy with the tone and output. Dropped the position a little lower and it sounds great both on clean and distorted and matches well with my other pups. Guitar is alder body with a DiMarzio Super Distortion in bridge and Chopper in middle. What about the conventional wisdom that a hi output bridge pickup should not be used in the neck?

I still deciding whether to get a JB jr to put in the bridge, but thanks for the info anyway - It may come in useful if I start swopping things around.

Glad you got a nice sound - I guess you only find these things out by experimenting a bit...

ive used the full size jb in the neck and gotten some great tones with it. doesnt always work but in the right guitar it can be great.
