JB Jr vs. Lil '59

I have a JB Jr in the middle of my strat and am thinking seriously about a Lil 59. The 59 seems more suited to my desired sound on the tone chart, but I heard it isn't as hot. Does it have the same basic sound as the JB Jr, just with different equalization?

Re: JB Jr vs. Lil '59

In my Duncan catalog the bass/mid/treble of
the Little '59 is rated at 6/5/7 and Low/Moderate output.

The JB JR is rated at 4/6/5 and Moderate/High output.

On paper, that mean the Little 59 has more bass, less mids and more treble than the JB Jr. and lower output.

I think compared to your JB JR you would find the Little 59 to be cleaner, clearer and brighter....and a little lower in output.

Ah I see. Well Lew, I see you have one on Ebay that I'm interested in. I sent you an email about that. Thanks for your help.

And also.... how would a Lil '59 bridge sound in the middle? I see it is right between the neck and bridge hotrails that would go around it in output, so it should probably work. I would be a little hotter, too. How would that sound?
