I don't see how it is reasonable to expect a change of heart about DiMarzio by trying only a JB Jr. and not a DiMarzio.

From sound samples that I’ve heard I’m personally impressed with the Tone Zone strat from Dimarzio.

For giggles I just popped a BC-2 in my Strat. It sounds huge and rocks hard; throaty with good chunk. Wired in series the BC-2's output matches the Satch Track perfectly.

There are a lot of things I like about the JB Jr. Harmonics and articulation, the fact you can hear notes easily. It's all a matter of tone taste, though, it doesn't really sound like a humbucker but more like a hot fatter single coil.
