I have a JB in my Mahogany Strat (yea it's me again:)) What would an Alnico II magnet do for it?

Thanks

An A2 works wonders in a JB in a LP. More mids, less piercing treble. Full & rich. If you want a fuller tone, try it in a Strat. Only takes a few minutes.

the JB2 is one of my favorites - - in mahogany though there's a chance the low end will be too mushy for you. But I'd try it anyway - it sounds really cool.

i did really like the smoothness of the JB2. blueman is your key to the JB.
A8 is intense, like anxiety in your upper chest. ready to out blast any pickup you will every use. and maybe your ears, unless there better than mine.

I am REALLY digging the Alnico 8 in the JB. I think it might be the perfect hard rock to thrash metal pickup.

I have an Alan Holdsworth model pickup which I contacted SD about.

They said it is a JB with 2 sets of screws and no slugs. I have it in my Kramer (alder body) and it has a bit of a spongey bottom end, but I actually like it, and would love it if this guitar sounded like my Kramer. So, a #II magnet sounds like it will help me a lot.

Anybody know where I can get one?

I use the JB2 (or fauxldsworth) pickup in my Brian Moore. I actually use the bridge pickup now! Much more smooth, without that 80's pop metal bite to everything.
