Jb vs Custom for Gain

I occasionannly use clean tones but they are not priority for the guitar I want to make, a hard rock tele.
I play hard rock, metal, heavy metal, grunge, punk, occasionally classic rock and sometimes ambient.
Which one would sound better? Still want a decent clean tone but gain is priority!

What's the difference between this and the topic you opened two days ago???

Which would be better for hard rock, grunge, metal, thrash, heavy metal and alternative? Including other styles similar to those.
It would most likely be in an hh telecaster with a coil split.
