JB with a ebony fretboard?

Anyone had luck with a JB in an Alder strat with maple neck and ebony fretboard? Is this an ok setup?

Got one in an alder super strat with an ebony fretboard. Sounds fantastic. The JB is a good pickup.

Thank you! I have an old 1985 Japanese strat I am thinking of putting one in. It has what is either an Alder or Basswood body and I have a carvin neck on it- Maple neck with ebony fretboard and stainless steel frets. It'll sound ok in that guitar?

If it sounds like my SL2H, yes, it willl become your favorite sounding guitar.
