What pickup (high output) would you guys recommend for me to put in a GMW sold maple guitar I have coming?
I love the JB's in the bridges of all my guitars, but I've never owned a maple body guitar. ...
Should I order the new JB with the A2 magnet? It apparrently is a little smoother which might sound better with the maple (bright) body tone...
Thanx!

I don't know what that will do in maple, but my guess is it certainly wouldn't sound bad. I have a JB in an alder body and it sounds great indeed. If you like it, I suggest you get it for this guitar too. In a good piece of wood, it'll probably sound good. If you want more versatility, as you've got other guitars with this pickup, maybe you should consider a different pickup.

A maple body guitar can be extremely bright. Just screaming in upper mids and treble! On the plus side the sustain is usually endless. An A2 JB may work, but I think you will eventually end up with a custom custom, or a DMZ TZ. Warm neck woods may off set this slightly.....
