So I've been thinking about swapping the mag in my Jb for an a2.

I know that it will decrease in output but how much? If it's too much of a decrease than I'll probably just keep it stock.

It isn't much less but you will lose the bass and low mids push from A5. I find that the JB/A2 only works in guitars that have a certain mass to them (LPs and the like).

Slight decrease in output, it's still a 16K PU (twice the resistence of a PAF). Less bass, less treble, more mids.
