Hi guys,

I have a 2203 JCM 800 reissue. Love it. I notice with the FX loop button engaged the sound thins out. Would a looper pedal solve this problem?

Is thinness caused by pedals in loop or just by engaging button?

If caused by pedals rack type FX unit could help right?

thanks

Alot of times it's just that the signal coming out of your effect(s) doesn't match properly to your the effects loop...Does the reissue have send and return level adjustments? Have you tryed other effects....

I've only ever used time based effects in my loops...Delay,reverb,chorus,flanger...Nothing else..

Try replacing the 12AX7 that runs the loop...Might be a bad tube also? If the loop is in fact tube driven?

I was thinking that if its the pedal that is good. I can get another or use an FX rack. Or looper pedal.

Actually did some tests. It is affected by the pedal. So I need to try some FX processors like the G-Sharp or something. Guess that is another thread.

what do you want it for? time based effects? wah? amp modeling? slow gear?
Try the effects in front of the amp first- no need to buy something new if it works.
With a rack, plan on getting some way to control it with your feet unless you always want it on.

Loops in FX loop are to be time based. Delay, verb, chorus.
