Jerry Donahue Stratocaster wiring

Hi,

I have a Fender Jerry Donahue Stratocaster. Superb instrument. Just one problem. Someone took out the original wiring. Pickups and wiring were "Duncan design". I've searched the internet. Posted in Fender Forums. I've mailed Fender, and I've mailed Seymour Duncan. No answer.

Is there anybody out there that can help me with the original wiring diagram. It's a very special wiring where you can switch from "tele" to "strat" mode by means of the middle pot that is actually a rotary swith. With the "normal" 5-way switch you can choose a lot of different tone settings and pickup combinations.

greetings

Not much help for the Strat (didn't know he had a signature Strat), but if you use the search function, you can find plenty of the threads for his Telecaster wiring that might lead you in a general direction

Re: Jerry Donahue Stratocaster wiring

I have a switch in my strat to allow bridge+neck and bridge+middle+neck it's very simple actually.
From your description it sounds like a blend pot for the neck pickup, is this it?

Re: Jerry Donahue Stratocaster wiring

I'm afraid that doesn't solve my problem.

The middle "tone" knob works like a two way rotary switch (A and B-mode). Further there is a normal strat type 5 way switch (pick up selector).

The manual of the guitar says:

A-mode, standard stratocaster switching:
1. brigde only, 2. bridge + middle, 3. middle only, 4. middle + neck, 5. neck only)

B-mode, Custom Seymour Duncan Designed Wiring Options:
1. bridge only, 2. middle + neck with capacitor, 3. bridge + neck, 4. Bridge, middle + neck (with capacitor), 5. neck only
