I RECENTLY TORE DOWN MY WAH PEDAL AND RE-PAINTED IT...PUT ALL THE PARTS BACK TOGETHER, AND IT WORKS FINE WHILE AT THE HOUSE THROUGH MY RP350 PEDAL. BUT, WHEN I GET TO THE CHURCH AND HOOK IT UP THROUGH MY MUSTANG FLOOR PROCESSOR, I CAN ACTIVATE THE SWITCH ON THE WAH AND NOTHING HAPPENS. ANY IDEA WHAT I CAN LOOK FOR?:help::help::help:

Re: JIM DUNLOP WAH PEDAL ISSUE

CAN WE SEE THE INSIDES OF THE PEDAL? YOU SHOULD ALSO INCLUDE PHOTOS OF THE SWITCH.

Re: JIM DUNLOP WAH PEDAL ISSUE

As you've been told before, all caps = screaming at the top of your lungs. Please curb that.

To repeat what Johnny said, it could be an issue of the circuit not getting power (if it's set up true bypass). I had that happen before where the battery was stone dead but I modded my wah to be true bypass so signal still got through with it off. I now power it off a One Spot.

Also, it could be a wire that got torn away.

Sorry for the caps.....I am at work and my computer never comes off caps lock since it is habitual....working on that though.....
As far as the wiring goes, I havent done any mods to the pedal. Its still stock, the switch isnt true bypass either....but why would it work with one pedal, but not the other is whats befuddling to me.

Has it worked with the other pedal at home since you had the problem at church?

Yes, the wah actually works at home through my RP350, but when i get to the church and hook it to my mustang floor processor, I activate the switch and it kills the signal going to the pedal itself. It dont do that at the house through my other processor.

How are you powering it at home vs at church?

Re: JIM DUNLOP WAH PEDAL ISSUE

You're sure you plugged the guitar into the correct jack of the wah at church? I have done that before at home and wondered why the wah would not work. Also what dunlop wah is it? Some of their wahs use millenium bypass which doesnt require a 3pdt switch for true bypass.

Off topic: i have heard wahs in all contexts before(most being evil), this is the first time i came across of it being used in a holy context. Off i go to google some church music with wah in them :D lol

Re: JIM DUNLOP WAH PEDAL ISSUE

Actually, I have not. I do know that the mustang floor has a effects loop, but i dont use it. Could that have an affect on it not working since im not going through it?
No, an effects loop is not a necessity. I'm just trying to eliminate which part is the issue.

If you have the time to do this, plug your guitar straight into the wah and then the wah straight into the sound board. It won't sound great but it'll tell you if the wah is working when you're there. Then start adding pieces back.

Might be as simple as the cable between your Mustang Floor and wah being bad. Try different cables.

Will try that once i get to the church in a couple days....

Re: JIM DUNLOP WAH PEDAL ISSUE

maybe the wah doesn't want to be in a church.
Wait... It wouldn't happen to be one of these, would it?

LOL In all seriousness, it's probably a borked cable. Try different cables.

Re: JIM DUNLOP WAH PEDAL ISSUE

It shouldn't be a bad cable if your signal is fine while you're not using the effect. I would say it's a power issue, but there's something else not working right here.

True... That's what happens when I don't ingest enough caffeine in the morning. LOL

If he's running off battery, though, then what would be the issue?
