JP rocked this one out last night at the MTV Awards. I thought it was a pretty cool "concept guitar". Sounded good on the Queen Song that he and Katy Perry jammed out... http://video.aol.com/video-detail/russell-brands-2009-vma-intro/3182454588

That's pretty phat.

Joe Perry has always had cool rides... never seen him with anything uncool.

Where did you get that the neck & body are Warmoth? It didn't say anything on the RS site about where they came from.

Re: Joe Perry's RS Guitarworks Warmoth

I didn't doubt it was legit... I mean, I know Warmoth makes that LP special body shape & control layout. Was just wondering...

What's got me really intrigued is that trem! Really interesting design... fixed bridge & saddles with a moving block!

Yeah, those and the Super Vee have been advertising like crazy the last couple of years. An alternative to a Floyd I suppose.

Re: Joe Perry's RS Guitarworks Warmoth

Joe has used Warmoth parts before. His upside down FrankenStrat is Warmoth IIRC.

Re: Joe Perry's RS Guitarworks Warmoth

You know...in Jan 2007, Joe Perry stated that his "collection numbers over 600 guitars"...but I'm just thinking...that he needs something special w/which to play all those guitars...something like this $2,300.00 Meteorite Guitar Pic...

http://cgi.ebay.com/Sculpture-Relic...s?hash=item53daab98bb&_trksid=p3286.m20.l1116

which, btw, I am TOTALLY SHOCKED that it is...

A) Still available

B) Still listed

C) Still $2,300.00!!! :eyecrazy:

Re: Joe Perry's RS Guitarworks Warmoth

I saw that last night and wondered what it was. Thanks!!:)

Re: Joe Perry's RS Guitarworks Warmoth

You are most welcome...and if it's any consolation...I was rooting for the Titans on Monday Night! My Dolphins lost their first game as well. :friday:

Re: Joe Perry's RS Guitarworks Warmoth

Steven looks like a cross between Jim Morrison and Pamela Anderson. Not really in a good way though.

Re: Joe Perry's RS Guitarworks Warmoth

There is a lot of info on RS's site about that guitar...Joe used it pretty heavily in Atlanta a few months back but I gotta tell you...I HIGHLY doubt iut has much if anything to do with Warmoth...Roy and the boys at RS build some amazing guitars, all in house and I just can't see them buying wood from anyone else for a build. However, that said...I could be wrong...

Re: Joe Perry's RS Guitarworks Warmoth

It sure looks like Warmoth parts- however, there's a hell of alot of custom work and parts on that guitar.

Really cool idea. I have a beautiful 1897 Winchester Repeating Rifle as well, and that's just given me some ideas. Great relicing job- it looks as old as an old Winchester rifle
