Re: Joe Satriani rig rundown
****in A, man.
I don't know about the amps, but that light blue JS with singles was sexy!

Come over to my house and you can hear one blast. If I lived in a place that I could realistically crank up a JVM or any Marshall beast for that matter I`d own one but I don`t:sad: Satriani will be in the Bay Area Thursday , I`m so tempted to go hear those JVMs blasting.
That was the best rig rundown... Joe really seems to know his stuff and what he wants and doesn't... really just seems to use what works and sounds great and not worry about boutique or gadgets.
Blackstar is one example of jaded former Marshall employees wanting to do things that players want, not just live in the past and rest on the laurels of Hendrix, et al. I've also heard old Marshalls and newer Marshalls that sound like total @$$.
Like I said, Satch could play an Agile into a practice amp and sound amazing.

I hear ya BR, but a straight up amp is easier to dial and will have less problems imho. I can get my 800 to sound like almost anything I need to with a couple stompys and the volume knob on my guitar... and the one thing it does great... well, it does great! No compromise on the dirt sounds at all!
I mean, live most people could care less if my clean sound isn't as jangly as it could be lol... they are all too drunk and singing along any how!
