This is a great demo of Joe cheese-gratering the back of his priceless '59 Burst with his Concho belt:

Best guitar face in all of Rock!

Re: Joe Walsh!

Joe is my most favorite guitar player of all time, and a really neat guy. Since his recovery from ego, drugs, and mainly alcohol, he has become a very different person. A nicer more genuine (famous) person you will not find. I love him.

Re: Joe Walsh!

I love his playing. He's what I call a "tasty" player. He puts a lot of flavor in to what he does. His Crossroads session with Brad Paisley was fun to watch.

Re: Joe Walsh!

Looking back, I probably heard more Joe Walsh guitar playing before I learned to play guitar than almost any other player. It's because his music was all over the radio in the 70's, and I loved it. Then, I learned to play in the 80's when all the new and exciting guitarists came out. And ironically, I still prefer Walsh's style of playing to all the 80's guys.

Joe Walsh is one of the few super famous guitar players who still bums around in music stores. I've run into him 3 or 4 times at San Fernando Valley music stores like GC Sherman Oaks and Norman's Rare Guitars.
He's definitely a gear head! He's another bigtime player who takes his endorsement gear and trades it in for awesome vintage stuff. So when you see him in Carvin ads, you can be pretty sure it all gets traded away for Fenders, Gibsons, and Duesenbergs. LOL
