John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

Re: John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

Jolly can't remember what happened yesterday! (A lot like me actually) Good luck with the answer! :flush:

Re: John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

How is your MIJ reissue '62 strat? Did you get it off Ebay? Thanks!

who me?

1) that's not a very nice way to derail this thread, you should've PM'd me or put up a new thread or something.
2) No, I bought it in a store in Dubai around 1996 or 1997 sometime. It's a great guitar. As good as American strats.

Re: John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

As soon as I saw the title of this thread I knew what it would be about. I agree, I want to see those bad boys finished and ready to rock.

Re: John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

What happened to your gorgeous Blue and Purple flamed maple Iceman builds?
I've still got them. I buy parts here and there for them. I guess really all I need is to get a couple of necks and finish the bodies with nitro. The main thing that has been holding me back is the guy who is going to be helping me out alot with them. He sings in a few different bands and is away alot. However, at the moment he's putting some AHB-1 Blackouts in my Charvel.

I guess the main reason is just getting Thane and myself's timing together so we can work on them. Lame excuse, but that's pretty much it. I guess if I really, really, really wanted them done, then I would get my old ass in gear.

Also, Guitar Mill is only a couple of miles from me, and I've been thinking about going over there and seeing if he'll make me a couple of custom necks and stuff.....maybe even help me finish the bodies.

Re: John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

yeah dude, it'd be nice to see them finally finished. I remember the flame was just ridiculously awesome looking. Would be a shame for them to be forgotten in the mists of time.

I can't forget about them. I look at them every single day. They're in my kitchen sitting on guitar stands, and they stare at me everytime I walk by them.

Yeah man, those need to happen. They look to Cool not to be complete. Chrome hardware going on the Blue one? Perhaps with Duncan Custom ordered White pickups as an idea?

We must think somewhat alike.:) It's either getting white pickups with chrome pickup rings, or chrome pickups and white pickup rings.

Re: John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

damn dude. those are some spicy lookin necks. I really like that scalloped zebrawood one

Re: John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

I wanna see how those turn out! Sweet colors on some sweet flame in a kickass body style, what's not to love?

Re: John Jolly, I'm callin' you out.

Just to piss off Jolly, I should stain one in the color of George Dickel Whiskey flame, and finish it with aged nickel hardware and a rosewood fretboard. :chairfall
