Hello Jeff....It depends on whether you're using it in the effects loop or in front of your amp's input? It's a pretty quiet pedal in the loop,but you still get some hiss using it the other way and I use mine boosted 1 notch above center.....I'd mod your's if you like and send it to you and let you see what you think? The only GE-7 I've done so far,has been my own,but I did order the parts to do one more for whoever wanted it..
Mine is quieter and has upgraded chips and better caps within it...
Here's the board on my own GE-7...The red caps,chips,chip holders,and some scattered metal film resistors are the changes made..The last 2 bass frequency caps were increased a bit also...
