Joind the Metroamp forum and Im learning a lot

So in my my attemp to help educate myself on Tube amps, i have joined the Metroamp forum and have been reading a lot of stuff ppl have posted on there. After doing some searching on some Marshall mods on the forum, I think Ive finally found the perfact mod to do to that will "hotrod" my JCM800. I recieved the specs sheet for the "#34" mod that Frank Levi did to Slash's JCM800 in the early days on GN'R between when Slash was the "appetite" tour and when we recorded the guitar tracks for the UYI albums.

Im SUPER excited, and Im just waiting till I take my 800 in to have these mods done. Looking at the sheet, the #34 mod is actually a very simple mod to do on a JCM800. Shouldnt take more than 15 or minutes to do. There is no extra gain stages or tubes added at all......just a few simple things that re-voices the stock gain stages (3) of the 800.

Wasn't it #36, not #34? Copy of Caswell's #39? Or, are we talking about something else?

Here is some info which I have posted some time ago:

By the way, Metro Forum is a very nice place. Requires a bit fluency with the technical things. Yet, great place.

Could you post the link of the thread that you are talking about? Would appreciate it.

Best,

B

Edit: I researched and found out what Levi's #34 is (a Levi modded 2204) ... Now I know it is not the same as the #36. Wasn't aware of that actually. :) Hence, the question no longer applies. :)
