The first guitar I ever bought new was an A7+. Not a fan of Floyds these days, when I came across this one for $180 shipped, I couldn't pass it by. Was planning on pulling the EMGs and replacing them, but they just sound so killer in this guitar and smash in the front end of any amp that I've played it through that I decided to keep them. 707 in the bridge, 60-7 in the neck.

Was a little skeptical of the top horn, I've always had bad luck with them poking me in the stomach (the Parker Fly, BC Rich Beast, and a few others did that) but it is in just the right spot where it hugs me when I'm sitting down. Only flaw with it is that the previous owner clearcoated the back of the neck badly, but that will either get sanded or smooth down over time. It was also missing the switch tip, but I had a few here and one fit right on. Not really a fan of reverse headstocks, but I'll deal with it.

I hate avengers, but the 707 is one of the only emgs I actually like. Has lots of growl to it.

I always kind of loved that shape. I'm not cool enough to play it, but I think it looks good.

Move a couple more tuners to the bass side, and it wouldn't be a reverse.

Yeah, really!!! I personally always thought the avenger was their coolest shape! And I like that headstock much better than the one on the gates model that looks like a pinching bug..
