Jol Dantzig - dirt cheap tone tweaks for your guitar

It's interesting that Jol suggests doing all the things I've done to my guitars for years, including putting the foam that's included in each box of Duncan pickups in the pickup cavity and doing the 50's mod to the tone controls. Great suggestions from one of my favorite guitar builders.

That's great stuff. I learned most of that from guitar forums. I never thought it was possible to mess with the humbucker magnets before coming to this forum. It's cool to see it mentioned on a more mainstream medium like a magazine.

Jol Dantzig seems like a really nice guy. I found his blog a few months ago and can't stop reading it. Lots of great tips and advise for the DIY builder. It's more focused on guitar building so it may not be for everyone.
