damn it jolly...now i have to change my pants.....jolly found some pics of the guitar i have been having wet dreams about..a purple gibson les paul..the model was something called les paul premium plus...it is just stunning.....i need to track one of these down.

The first one is a 1997 Les Paul Classic Premium Plus. It belongs to Mike Slubowski ( http://www.gibson.com/en-us/Lifestyle/Features/gibsonguitarsarelikepotat/ ) from the Les Paul Forum.

I'm not sure about this one, but I sure do wish I owned it. It may be a Gibson Class 5, but don't quote me on that.

All I did was do a google image search for purple Les Paul and they came up. There were a couple of other nice one's as well on the search.

OMG! that class 5 is THE SHIZZLE.. wow... whats the neck shape on those?? I do believe thats what it is, as Ive seen blue and black ones like it on the net.
I love the black too! and since seeing marq Torien playing blue and Jollys peacock one, Id hit a blue one too!

It's actually an Amber Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus from 1999.

Which is a 1996 Les Paul Classic Premium Plus, and have it refinished by a friend of mine in that purple color for probably around $400. I doubt I ever do it, but it's always an option.

I know some guys that used to work for Gibson quite a few years ago that would refinish any guitar I brought to them for hardly anything really, and make it just like a new finished Les Paul.

One of my buddies is actually the manager of the custom shop at Guild now. He'd have no problem doing that for me.

I've always wanted a nice blue or purple Gibson Les Paul with some nice flame on it. I think the key is to buying a somewhat beatup older Les Paul Classic with some nice flame, and me having them refinish it for me.

I've just been waiting on the right deal. I've thought about picking up one of those ugly ass Gibson Les Paul Classic Plus's that some artist painted all screwed up in amber and wine red. You can buy them for around $1400 or so, and they are pretty well flamed. You do that, pay a friend to stain it as you like, and you're there.
