Jones Tones

I don't think Adam Jones uses an SH-4JB. I have seen absolutely no concrete evidence of what kind of pickup he uses.

I think he uses an APH-1 Alinco II Pro humbucker in the bridge.

How did I come to this conclusion? Think about it - this is a great pickup for players who get their distortion by cranking their amp rather than a pedal (enter Adam's famous 1976 Marshall Superbass 100w...), it's a good choice for players who use the volume knob and pick attack to go between clean and distorted sounds (ahem), It's recommended for ebony fretboards (enter the 78-80's silverbursts), it would work great for silghtly brightening up the "dark" tone of especially his 78 silverburst (which is his main one), and his pickups don't have SD logos on them, which would again point to the APH-1 Alinco II Pro.

I have also read an eyewitness account from the guy who makes Diezel amps, and he said that his pickups were not high output. Interesting article, I have it if anyone wants to read it.

Any thoughts? Does anyone have any actual concrete evidence/accounts of what kind of pickups he uses? I have read in a million places that "he uses a JB"...but how do you know?
