New pickups for my dual humbucker #1 -- Seth in the Neck, but what in the BRIDGE?

Less jangle in the bridge? You need a PRS 85/15. I posted a thread today noting how it's quite fat and warm for a bridge pickup

Not a serious suggestion. A slightly overwound PAF sounds like the way to go, or at least a place to start.

Good luck with your 85/15 project!

As for me, I believe I've reached the point -- with plenty of sound (!) advice here and with real life networking -- that it's time to just do it.

And I'm embracing the opportunity to try new things. I've loved playing this guitar forever, but it's time (15+ years PAST time -- but that's on me) to learn a bit more about my PUPS preferences.

I've got a good feeling that the Seth Lover in the NECK will be ideal for this guitar, my ear, and my preferred styles. Since I tend to lean hard on the neck PUP, I'm looking forward to getting to know Seth and how he/it plays with my amps and favorite pedals.

As for the BRIDGE, just taking a leap of faith here. I've been leaning toward the '59 in the BRIDGE for quite some time, but I've increasingly bought into the thought that the Whole Lotta Humbucker is a close cousin, a touch hotter, and with a slightly different accent. Still PAF family, but with that '70s British vibe. Since I've carried that '70s British vibe in my musical head throughout my lifetime, it's worth a shot. I know plenty of others seem to really like it in their LPs (and while my Polaris Pro is no Les Paul, there are a lot of shared characteristics).

Worse comes to worse, I've got a PUP to sell or to use in my son's DeArmond Starfire (a Fender knock-off of the semi-hollow Guild Starfire and not a bad semi-hollow player, but with too bright stock PUPs). Should I not like the Seth on my Polaris Pro, there's an excellent chance it's perfect for the Starfire.

THANKS TO ALL WHO CHIPPED IN WITH THEIR $0.02. Much obliged.

That's an accurate description. It's like a sweetened 59. I took a leap of faith putting the WLH set in my SG and they stayed for over a year.
