Hey guys,

I scored a Joyo JT-55 pedal tuner for real cheap, from a online sale.

It has two output jacks, one named "output", that kills the signal when tuner is engaged, and one named "bypass", that lets the sound trough at all times.

I'm wondering if I could use it as a "Y" or "splitter" pedal, i.e. running my guitar into two different amps. Or if I need a dedicated unit for that.

Sorry for asking , but I don't have anything to try it out with! :)

thanks

Try it and see. I suspect it is "one or the other" though. But that's just a guess. Try it and see.

But I can't see why you want a mute and not a mute. It would kind of eliminate the function of the mute....

Problem is if both work simultaneously you have one amp broadcasting your tuning in all its glory every time you need to tune.
Unless you have a separate mute, not sure it would be much use unless you're just using it at home or in the studio.

Okay. I was kinda hoping to not having to buy a splitter/Y pedal. My other amp is at home;-
-the "grand plan" was to run one amp up front, and the other one further back in the room; - to provide more ambience and fullness.

:)

The tuner cost only 10usd on sale; so it's no big deal. I'll get a "Y" pedal if it doesn't work.

(again, sorry for my not-very- thought out questions. love you guys ;) )

Forget about me needing a Y/splitter pedal-

Today I'm picking up an used Behringer 8-channel mixer, and it has a dedicated "monitor out";
-which means, I guess- that I can use it to send my guitar into two amps :).

Thanks for all the replies.
