Got this last year at GC, I think there was always a little hum, now it is LOUD. It is with nothing plugged in, independent of channel. Noise goes up with master volume. Can plug guitar direct to return and same problem.
I will put in an old set of tubes and check all the chassis grounds as last ditch, but I am guessing it needs filter caps, and would be willing to do the job.
I remember there was a vendor who sold PV filter cap kits. Anyone know who it is?
Could a bad transformer also cause the problem? With amp on standby, if I put my ear near back of amp I can hear a small version of the hum (like 60 cycle hum or ground loop) inside amp.
