Junior Covers Loudness

Re: Junior Covers Loudness

That's a "Hilo" ukelele there. Even Akira Takasaki never had the ba**s to play ukelele.

Re: Junior Covers Loudness

:headbang:

I see you've got him learning how to play and sing at the same time already :D

Re: Junior Covers Loudness

If you can't sing and play it's probably because you're holding your breath.

Something you can do for that one is read out loud when you play. My guitar teacher used to get me to read stuff from magazines etc while I was playing pieces so that I separated my breathing from my playing.

Another one you can do is just have a conversation with someone while you play, and eventually you'll get the hang of it. I used to (well, still do) annoy my mates by playing guitar while they're on the phone to me :P

Then again it doesn't matter either way for me, I can't sing to save my life :laugh2: :D

Re: Junior Covers Loudness

Well, his diction is better than Minoru Nihara's, he's got a better sense of style, and his uke was in tune!

That was great fun!

BTW, sorry to go O/T, Matt, but
MAIDEN IS HEADLINING OZZFEST THIS YEAR!!!!

Are we gonna do this, or what?! :D

Right on -- a fellow NYC'er AND a Loudness fan!
Where in NYC are you, man?

Re: Junior Covers Loudness

That was very cool! Almost good enough to make me burn all my gear in humiliated frustration.

Nuntius cool ideas for singing and playing. I can manage simple stuff but if I'm approaching Megadeth or something no way. :cool3:

Re: Junior Covers Loudness

Right. You hear about those stereotypical "sports" dads who try to relive those glory days through their children, well, hopefully I won't turn into one of those. My boy is actually more interested in counting and letters, and when we go to the music store he seems more into drums than guitars.

Don't drummers get all the chicks anyway?

hey twighlight, typing from the great outer borough known as the bronx. def a huge loudness fan.
anyone get RACING yet? i wasted my cash on ROCKSHOCKS and am wishing i got the former instead.
"A 27 yr old Loudness fan. Will wonders never cease!"

hi jammer, it all got handed down from my older sis lol i'm an oddball. for a late 20's guy i love a guy like akira as much mick ronson. esoteric tastes to say the least. while i don't think new music sucks per se, the majority of rock and metal ppl my age listen err.. sucks!

akira is one of my faves. aside from my jake e lee esp that i'm working on, i'm also building an akira style random star!

nice to see some loudness fans!

Sounds cool, deluxemeat! Will you be putting on the jagged mirrors on it?
Akira's one of my favorite older-school metal guitarists--I really enjoyed
the band's music when they were still singing in Japanese!

Hey JammerMatt, that kid is awesome--he looks destined to be a great
musician or singer in the future!

They still do ... most of their albums are available as both Japanese + English versions.

Nice!
I live in "real" Brooklyn (Gerritsen Beach) and work in Manhattan. My drummer is from the Bronx.

Let's hang one night!
