Hi All
i just got addicted to Mr Duncans Antiquity pickups.
but a couple of things occured and Mr Duncan didnt reply (asyet)
i bought an Antiquity II Tele bridge pickup to suit a late `60s maple neck/fretboard Tele so.......is it really designed to work best with a 1meg vol pots (mucho twang) as mid to late Fender Tele wiring.
And is an antiquity Humbucker (more money than a Seth lover) an aged Seth lover with the silver nickle wodd bits etc. ie a totally accurate ( including the pressed shape of the outer cover) late `50s Gibson pick up but just with an aged sound? or just aged but not as accurate as a Seth Lover and if so what is the accual difference
and ......do we know why the Humbuckers are supplied with black surounds.
i love these pickups but just wondered if any one had the same thoughts
have a good weekend

Re: just a couple of thoughts

For reasons known only to CBS/Fender, the Tele wiring got changed for a while to 1 MegOhm pots AND a Treble bleed capacitor mod. (I suspect that it was because the pickups no longer delivered.)

I recommend that you try the conventional A250k pots first.
