Just Bought a New Champ 600 from Musicians Friend, Anyone Already Have One?

I figured for $200 bucks a small 5watt tube amp isn't bad...especially one that can be hooked up to an external cab. Anyone rockn' one of these little guys...anygood? First impressions?

I love them. I was inbetween the Champ or the Valvetronix. Im going with the Valvetronix for the versitality but the Tone the Champ has is pure. Youll be very happy

YEAH ........ I like what I'm hearing, I went to Sam Ash, GC and some local stores today and no one had one. I usually like testing out what I'm buying but this one sounds like its gonna be good.

I just bought a Tungsol 6V6GT for it and a Tungsol 12AX7, I plan on taking a listen to the amp with the stock tubes then swapping it out with the new Tungsol. See what the difference will be.

Question, since there is only one preamp tube and one power amp tube would I have to bias the amp? I've never really had to do this. The only reason I'm doing it to this one is because it doesn't seem like it would be that hard.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE that amp. I almost bought one after walking into a music store and trying it once. For the price of a good quality pedal you get a simple amp with awesome tone and a pretty decent amount of clean headroom for its size. The only reason i didnt get it was im totally broke, and im still halfway considering it even though I have no justification for getting another amp.
