Just bought this ...

Re: Just bought this ...

FedEx just loses it. The Post Office does both.
Fed X can break a steel ball with a rubber hammer in a sandbox!! They dropped a fender Prosonic combo I had incoming off the side of a conveyor at O hare one time swept up the remains resealed the box and sent it on.
Use USPS exclusively in the lower 48 and have never had any issue as long as i pack well. In fact had over the years 2 pointy Carvin guitars sent to me both from California to Birmingham Alabama by USPS in just a case with a strip of duct tape around the case no box. Both arrived in perfect condition!!

Re: Just bought this ...

USPS is reliable and tolerably fast

Ontrac is reliable and blistering fast

The rest are a joke

Re: Just bought this ...

That is guitar porn! Sweet looking guitar. I hope it arrives in good condition.

Re: Just bought this ...

Wow! That is great! Just make sure it is insured and you will be fine. Every shipping service has problems, but we only hear about those, and not the 1000s of successful deliveries every day.

Re: Just bought this ...

Love it! I’m stalking 2012/2013 Amber Standards too.... If I ever pull the trigger it’s getting the AFD treatment with reverse zebra/zebra pickups and silver topped knobs.

Re: Just bought this ...

Found out this has Dimarzio 36th Anniversary PAF's, Tone Pros locking Bridge & Tailpiece, push/pull pots & Locking Grovers.

Re: Just bought this ...

I've had luck with lots of guitars shipped. The one I didn't was a pawn shop that wrapped a Jackson Kelly in cardboard. I got a bunch of chunks of wood (some missing).

I've had a neck come busted up. The shipped left the tuners and nut in and it acted like a hammer to the Jackson head stock.

And FWIW, that guitar looks a lot like my 2002 that I bought new on ebay back in 2002. Mine is in light burst. Your flames are a little wider and the fret board looks darker. Nice. I just got done playing mine last night.

I've also had really good luck with USPS. Mincer said it best, that all services have their issues. I've shipped with and received guitars through all of the major carriers, with almost zero problems. One package started out with Canada Post and finished with USPS, and the corner of one head stock was broken off, but it was minor and I still need to get it fixed. Anyhow, anyone who says you can't ever use carrier "A" or whatever is just seriously misinformed or likes to find a way to rain on someone else's parade. You're chances of receiving your guitar in perfect working order are very good.

Make sure to post your NGD with lots of pics when it arrives. It's a great looking Les Paul. Congrats.

WOW, sweet looking guitar, very Slash/AFD looking; but just gorgeous finish. Delivery went smoothly and no damage.....BONUS. I have no experience with the 36th Ann pickups, but they do get very good reviews. Heck, if it ain't broke..........

The neck 36th is THICK....reminds me of John Sykes’s Whitesnake neck tone. Rubbery, and thick as molasses.
That is a gorgeous guitar! Congrats. I’m kinda jealous...[emoji853]
