Well i'm on the 405 in traffic. Just dropped the Green Guitar off at Roman Rist's shop. Gonna come back with a bound ebony board, massive frets, and a crazy new truss rod system.

That's not to mention how super nice he was. Great guy, I could listen to him talk for a while. Just cool, and it's obvious he knows his stuff.

I'll get her back in a month or so, I'll update (naturally with pics) then. Thanks Jason! Awesome suggestion. He had cool things to say about you too.

Very cool, glad to hear it's working out! I'm just glad I could help you out. But, The Green Buddy's gonna be awesome, I just know it! Keep me updated, I can't wait for you to get it back.

Sorry this little mini update wasn't more action packed guys, but thank you all! Roman really liked it, and the neck is solid maple which suprised the hell out of me. I always assumed it yes presswood or something.

Two other clients came in and headed straight for my guitar on the bench which was cool. I mean, anything they have is better, but it's still cool.

Only bad thing was that I completely forgot about money, and I was supposed to put half down now in cash. :smack: So I'll go back Tuesday with cash. Way to leave a first impression Andrew! :)

Traffic on the 405 was so slow you were able to make a thread?

Anything different happening with the markers? Didn't mention anything so regular dots like before?

lol I got picked up from the airport by my mother, she was gracious enough to drive my poor ass up to Northridge. She was on the road for 5 hours toting me around. Very nice of her.

Good news is I might be buying a car tomorrow. We'll see. '63 Ford Falcon.

Oh and about the inlays, he's doing dots again but real Mother of Pearl inlays. I've got acrylic ones in there now, so it'll be incredible. The MOP dots on ebony board with the white/cream binding -

It's gonna look sexy.

Oh I just have SUCH a soft spot for MoP on Ebony. And Abalone. I also love abalone block inlays on Ebony. Ah, right, I just LOVE Ebony!

This is just SO cool...

:) Thanks dude! I love abalone too.But I think I this guitar, abalone would be overkill. I dunno. I considered it, but I just think it'd be too much.

But ebony is by far my favorite board wood. I think it compliments everything, and sounds the best too.

Still waiting to hear about the car too.

Oh yeah, I was talking in general, for this one it should be MoP dots all the way. That's what fits the best ;)

Cell phone. Like I said, my mom picked me up from the airport and drove me around. So I had a few minutes after I left (well, 2 hours before and 1 after) to post on my cell phone.

If it was me i would've just slapped a left-handed CBS Strat neck on it and bought a honda accord from like 1990 but whatever that's cool man. should be teh pimp ****z at an epic proportion. like teh beowulf of jazz boxes.
