me too. i cant say i actually hate anyone, much less someone on an internet forum. i have people i dont care for and even people i try to avoid contact with but hate is a strong word.

Anyways, while I do have an aversion towards headless guitars, I love how this project salvaged a broken instrument. Kinda envy the skill and creativity with that!

In his book Stranger in a Strange Land, Robert Heinlein's protagonist Michael Smith said "You cannot truly hate someone until you love them first". Assuming that statement is true, I cannot hate him because I don't really know him..... BUT, judging by his posts, I think I am on the right path.

so what do the fancy active electronics do?

The "fancy" controls are a separate bass, mid and treble as well as volume control. I believe it has a Bartolli active EQ module powered by a 9 volt battery.

I seriously ask this with the utmost respect towards the knowledge of both of you, but I'm kinda new here and I was wondering... How long have you two been married?

(I am very sincere about the respect part, but I couldn't help it... When I read those two lines I was laughing so hard I almost fell off the chair...)

Great post. I lmao too.

Actually we were only married a couple years but the divorce was very nasty. No kids involved but we just couldn't see eye-to-eye on nearly anything. We've just never been able to put those feelings aside.

But our posts make for some very interesting reading, right?

It's all good. The guitar sounds great and for now, works well playing slide guitar. If I can find a bridge that would work, I'll get it. Today I'm waiting for the delivery of my Stew Mac SG guitar kit and lacquer project.

That's gonna be a lot of fun!

I certainly DON'T hate the Goob. I don't know him personally...we've never met. He has a mental disorder that is NOT his fault. His posts are coming from that disorder NOT from him.

His lack of knowledge also stems from the disorder...being narcissistic means you think you are always right/never wrong and have all knowledge (like God), and unless you recognize AND admit there is a deficit in your understanding, you are not about to open yourself to learning. The more he posts and reveals himself, the more that becomes abundantly clear.

"Hate"? No. Sadness for him, pity? Yes. It's a shame because I believe that he really has potential. And therefore the most prominent feeling I have is perhaps frustration out of concern for his welfare/wellbeing.

I am not a liar, I am who I've claimed to be. I have a long history in guitar repair, and the respect of my peers. I have been published multiple times since the late 70's. I have a large clientele who loves me and appreciates my work. You don't have to like it, but denying it is asinine. Your constant ****ing with me is childish at the least, and exposes you as the one with the mental problem.
