A '97 Gibson Blueshawk. Any other 'hawk fans out there? It's a string-through thinline type. I hate to say it, but I think this beats out the Tele Thinline (I know,I know...). I think I want to change out at least the bridge pup to an SD stacked P-90. It's also got a vari-tone engaged through a push-pull pot, not too familiar with it though. Threr is a total of something like 27 different sounds total. If you got a 'hawk (Blues or Night), post a pic.

Very cool. There's a new version called the 'little Lucille'. Apparently BB King took a shine to the blueshawk, so they made him one.

Any guitar with a p90 is a friend of mine...

I've always wanted one of those, but only the one like yours with P-90's. What can you do with those one's with the slanted bridge humbucker? Can you even put another pickup in those?

I have a blueshawk. I found that the neck didn't fit my hand for chording, but for bluesy leads (who'd have thought it!?) it is really great. Mine's a bit torn up right now, electronically, as I want some new pickups to drop in it, but overall, it is a great little axe.

any guitar with a p-90 is a good thing in my book! BTW the duncan custom shop makes a replacement for that stupid slanded bucker thingy...but it is still stupid!

I've got a 'hawk w/ the Bigsby/vibrola thingie ... and love it to death. Enjoy this underappreciated guitar, but be forwarned - the wood is soft and does not take rough treatment well.

i played one for a bit and i need to get one in my hands i have the hawk guitar but its not the same its way cooler to me than the les paul jr i smashed a while back on a bad day.
