I do enjoy the orange ones but my status as a Vox dealership makes my price on a Night Train too good to even consider the competition...

you made a mistake there with the logic of your initial formula

should be

thread - pics = useless

which would mean that thread = useless + pics
or (pics)(thread) = (pics)(useless + pics)

so a thread with pics = pics squared + useless pics
