Just Got rid of my Mesa, but I've got a Rivera on the Way...Reverb Help!

Well, I'm off to college next year (junior now), so I decided to sell off my MESA Single Rect, In the hope that I wouldnt need the power between now and then.

Well, I was down in a small town in Vermont and stopped in at a small music store. I was playing around with some guitars, when I tried out a Rivera Knucklehead-55 (non-reverb). This thing rocks. Well to shorten the story, it was only 400$, with new tubes, so I couldnt resist.

Once again, I'm "stuck" with a great amp. I'm a sucker to a good deal. My question is, It does not have reverb, so whats a good reverb pedal to get?

Also, I'm thinking about getting an Overdrive pedal for some leads, so any suggestions there?

Thanks.

You can use Delay Pedal as Reverb. Also, there is a Boss pedal combining delay and reverb.

My condolences :D

J/K Rivera makes a hell of an amp

Electro-Harmonix Holy Grail Reverb is a phenomenal sounding reverb.

About a year ago I bought a Trace Elliot Velocette and pestered alot of p;layers I respected about what they used for a Reverb pedal. The Electro-Harmonix came up again and again. Then I went to a Duke Robillard show and saw that he was using one and it sealed the deal for me.

Rivera good. Congrats on the acquisition. It's a steal at that price. :)

The Yamaha Magic Stomp has some nice reverbs.

...and delays

...and modulation

...and pitch shift

and it'll only set you back ~$139.

Little Lanilai spring reverb pedal... it's an Accutronics that's foot accessible and would work great for your application.

I have a rectoverb that I'm pretty happy with, but the Rivera knucklehead has intrigued me. Can you tell me your impression of it and what differences you have noticed between the 2.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. Very appreciated.

El Derado, I'm gonna get some more use out of it, I'll post some clips and a review. Thanks guys.

I use a Lexicon Alex for some nice reverb. It's a rack mount though, and not a pedal.

I'm pretty set on a holy grail. Should I put it in the loop, or from the guitar?

Thanks.

Although, the more I read up on the holy grail, the more interesting things I find. Is it constructed solidly? I'll be playing some gigs, so that is important. Does it create a lot of noise? These are just some things I have picked up about it by talking to other people.

Thanks.

what ever sounds better to you.

The holy grails are made very well. I saw a guy drop one off a 6 foot high self and it landed face down and I don't even think there was a dent in the thing.
