Just ordered a MXR Distortion III... Anyone tried it?

Yeah I heard the video clips from the Guitar World review, and nearly shat myself because it sounded so good.

So I ordered one, and a Distortion+ to throw infront of the HiWatts at music school for some Ratt, Van Halen etc.

Anyone tried one? What did you think?

I'm curious about it to be honest. It's expensive but I heard only good things about it.

It aint that expensive. Paid 100dollars for mine

I will try and get Rid to record a clip using it, as my playing is simply too bad for recording

My budget for any pedals is closer to 30 dollars :laugh2: 100 dollars is a lot of money for me. They're 100 pounds in the UK too, which is 200 USD.

One thing I liked was how well it juiced up an already overdriven amp. D#mn you, as If I needed something else to GAS over!!!

Hehe.. I am just enjoying the money I have until I move away from home.

Just bought 7 CDs today as well. I need some influence on the music school

I plan one getting some slight overdrive out of the HiWatt and just putting this infront of it. I wish I could crank it to 10, but it aint really feasable in a club unfortunately

I thought they were $79.99 at Musician's Friend. $129.99 list price.

I'm also interested in it, but haven't tried it yet - just heard clips.

Anyone notice that humbuckers almost always seem to thin out through a dirt pedal where as Strats almost always seem to sound killer?
