Make sure you let us know how it stacks up!
I'd love to get one if it had a preamp mode. But the demos to make it sound pretty darn good!
That's the thing, LOL. I don't have a decent clean channel.By my estimation, whatever amp you play the pedal through should impart the Soldano amp flavor if you have a decent clean channel.

But I do have a poweramp, so that's why preamp pedals work better for me.
I really like the clips I've heard of the SLO pedal. I just wished they'd had added like a switch or something to flip it into preamp mode kinda like the AMT pedals.
I had gone down a deep YouTube rabbit hole considering doing the exact same thing this week, but I went and dialed in my Revv G4 a little better and realized that to my ears, it's at least as good. To be honest, this video might have convinced me the pedal isn't nearly as good as the amp, and God knows I can't afford the amp.
Your Revv amp is no slouch. I watched a couple of Youtube videos by EtyschPi42 and he played the pedal vs the Soldano 100 and then played the pedal through several of his amps. Sounds excellent through ALL of the amps. I'm not trying to simulate a Soldano 100 amp, I want the "flavors" of the tones through my rig.
I get it. This is more about me rationalizing what I've got to avoid spending money to duplicate tones I already have. And to be honest, it's really not a rationalization at all. The Revv pedal is incredibly versatile, sounds great, and has fantastic build quality.
I should have read your post a little closer, your Revv is a pedal, not an amp. I'll be running my Soldano SLO plus into my HX Stomp that I have dialed back all of the presets to clean, so the Soldano pedal is where the dirt will be coming from. Just using the HX Stomp to add different flavors of amps with the influence of the Soldano which should give huge varieties of tones.
I've kind of gone the opposite way in recent years. I had it in my head forever that I needed to get all my gain from the amp, and I was looking for Plexi tones, so I got a Marshall Origin 50. Unfortunately, it doesn't really do Plexi tones at anything less than paint-peeling volume, even on the 20- and 5-watt settings. But everything I had read everywhere talked about what a great pedal platform it is, so I gave it a shot. I got a Wampler Plexi-Drive mini and a Friedman Smallbox for those tones and eventually a Revv G4 for high-gain stuff. So I guess I'm getting different amp feels out of the pedals rather than the amp. I've also never been happier with my tone(s).
For what it's worth, the Revv, since it's plugged into the effects return, really taught me about the need for a high-headroom amp with high gain, because anything besides full power completely takes away all its punch and immediacy.
If you're looking for Plexi tones, Marshall has just released some new pedals. Check out the YouTube videos about them.
Good plexi tones are also in the Dirty Shirley pedal.
I hear that the Silver Jubilee sounds better than a Plexi. Is that true?
I'm fairly sure it will act as a preamp. I'll be using as a preamp to influence the tone of my guitar rig.
