You would think after kickin' around for 45 years and not being in use for about 20 that it would need a lot of maintenance, but that was not the case. We immediately changed the caps..Checked the voltage on the plate and tested the tubes..All tested great! We put her back together and cranked her up..That's it! She sounds awesome and almost nothing had to be done to her..Other then giving her a good scrubbing, lol (it took me 9 hours to clean both the head and cab)..These things were built to last, for sure!

Yes, actually! Sounds pretty good if you keep it at a moderate level, and would be great for recording..But I would not crank the bass through it since I don't like the thought of blown speakers...In fact i've already decided to get another pair of speakers down the road (probably Webers) and retire the Oxfords before I blow them..I like to play hard /raunchy rock and roll and would feel much better knowing the originals were safely retired somewheres.
