Just Picked Up A Wireless Unit

From Xssive. Samson model with the little guitar bug, it works like a charm. Nice sound transmission, I can't hear any signal loss or tone coloration. Of course this is in the quite of my home, not on stage with a thousand other signals running around.

I'm actually suprised by the effective range. I have it up in my office, I walked downstairs, to the kitchen, thru the living room and out into the back yard....still working fine. My office is pretty big, so a lot of times I want to sit at my desk and them pick up the guitar to noodle around on. Couldn't do that before, the 20ft cord wasn't long enough. Now it's no issue.

Pretty cool little device. Worth a shot for those interested. No more cords for me to trip on. :dance:

Wireless units are great for scaring the hell out of friends and family members...hide in the closet, and when the wife comes in the roof looking for you...bam! A couple of power chords with full distortion.

that's what i did with it when i had it...when the house was empty i put the half stack on 10 crank up the gain and go play outside or in another room just b/c i could lol. the only bad thing as i mentioned in the for sale post is that it doesn't seem to like cell phones...well, nextels to be exact...when a nextel would get a call it would freak out for a few seconds and make a clipping sound...so watch out for cellphones. otherwise it was a great unit i never got the chance to use it live but for home use a studio rehersals it worked perfect! enjoy it man! you just helped pay for my new splawn cab i'll be buying so THANKS!!

the only bad thing as i mentioned in the for sale post is that it doesn't seem to like cell phones...well, nextels to be exact...when a nextel would get a call it would freak out for a few seconds and make a clipping sound...so watch out for cellphones.

I find that to happen with speakers and cell phones period. I can hear calls or text messages comming through, and sometimes even randomly, when I assume it's checking for messages or updates. Even through the church PA, we'll hear the bleeeeep bleep blep blip blip bap bapbapbapbleeeep come through; although, my church has a 12 speaker BOSE system...
