Just pulled the trigger...

On a Keeley modded TS-9! My friend had the Keeley modded TS-808 with true bypass and the 1982 chip ($249 on the site) and I tried it in my rig and it was exactly what I was looking for. He also had a stock TS9 which I liked as well. My Fulldrive II MOSFET I always thought did not sound its best at low gain to push the amp, but sounded best with medium - high gain IMO which was something I was not looking for, and that's why I sold it a while ago. I got the TS-9 because it was cheaper and I did not care about true bypass much and the chip does not alter the tone much according to Keeley. So I can't wait until it comes in!

Re: Just pulled the trigger...

I've been thinking about doing a Keely mod on my Sparkle Drive. $59 seems worth it.

Allthough I am a metal dude who is more than happy with a Spina moded TS9, I think that a Spina moded TS9 is way more of a better fit for the blues guy than a Keely mod, but its just me ...
