got it for 450.00 local pickup.Sunn S-100. The ad read;"1968 SUNN 100S Tube amp with reverb and tremolo. Just serviced and sounds sweet. This is the early one with the Real DYNACO Transformers. 2 new 6550's, 3 prong cord installed. tested strong and quiet. Also, makes a great tube Bass amp. These are very powerful amps and built like tanks with tons of low end yet smooth and rich, sweet highs. The WHO, Hendrix, Jack bruce, Jefferson Airplane and many others used these in the days of Great Rock. They were the King of amps and very expensive, hand made, hand wired point to point construction. A new amp like this would run you 3-5K".This is my birthday present to myself. 49 on Monday. That means next year I'll be...I'll be..... Noooooooooooooo!

That's a steal .... did Gillmore played one of these too in the very begining? ... I wish I can find a Laney Supergroup 100watt 1968/69 for $450 .....

Fantastic! Sunn amps have so much clean headroom, they take a pedal like no other! My fave o/d pedal with my T, is a Japanese SD-1 (as if I ever knew they were going to make 'em in Taiwan)! Anything more just cruds up the tone!
