Yup. When in doubt, I sound out an E with my voice.

I can whistle a E too. Just the note that is permanently stuck in my head.

So yah after 26+ years I better be able to tune a guitar.

Use a tuning fork in open A. Then you can tune the rest of the strings. How could you be so ignorant not knowing about this fact?

I need a tuner only for one string then I tune the rest base on with my ears.

Pfft. I have my guitars tuned at the store when i buy them. That way, it's never a problem.

I used to use pre-tuned strings, you just put them on the guitar and tighten them up until they felt good, they always gave you the right note. They weren't at all good for bending though .....
