Not only will those run you $2,760.00 per full stack (not including cabinets), but you need to allow extra money to purchase or lease a fork lift. No normal person would be able to lift a 4x12 loaded with those, ceratinly not without violating some OSHA back-injury-prevention regulation.
BTW, back in the 80's, my rig was a JCM800 2203 through a Marshall 2x12 cab loaded with EVM12L's. Loved it. Before that, I had a JMP 2203 head mounted in a 2x12 combo with a pair of EV's. The "Neil Geraldo Special". Despite the fact that it weighed about 16 tons, that might be my favorite amp that I ever owned, but it got stolen in 1984.
If you're looking for that EV sound (or lack thereof, since EV's bag is pretty much not adding anything to the tone) I would suggest looking at some of Ted Weber's offerings (I think the "Michigan" is his EV knock-off, or is it "California"?). Also, the Celestion G12H-80 might still be available on close-out ($50!) from Avatar. I have one in my DIY 13 Watter. It's a fairly clean, transparent speaker - like the EV.

I had a set of EV-12Ls at some point (I think one is actually in my basement as we speak completely blown). They are great jazz, overall clean amps. The speakers do not break up. I always felt that with overdrive they sucked ass because I didn't realize how much speaker breakup added to the vibe of amp clipping.
I think it's cool EVs going to be making these new 12Ls (because they stopped production on the original ones a little while back). I think Zakk needs to stop getting endorsements on every little freakin' thing though, because it's starting to look pathetic

Thanks. I was looking for a couple a few years ago after finding out they used them in the old EV12L & Celestion/Mesa CL80 split 4x12s.
I might still grab a pair....provided they get good reviews and the price comes down to more reasonable levels.

I have no working knowledge of the V30...however, the EMV 12L speaker (early 1980's model/open back cab) tone goes in four steps with my 150 watt tube head:
Low volume is balanced.
Mid volume level is balanced more presence.
High level is balanced with even more prescence (and little distortion).
Ultra High levels have so much volume and head splitting presence, you may need Jackie Kennedy to pick your brains off the trunk of a moving Lincoln. :jester: sorry! :ugh1:
These speakers are hard to "break up". The actual volume you perceive may be skewed by these drivers. They are so clean that your ears may feel extra punished after a loud session.

Those big EVs are actually really nice. My friend has a 2x6v6 1x12 combo with one and it sounds wonderful.

I have one in a Marshall 2x12 cab paired with a V30. Its a nice sound. At high volumes, the 12L takes care of providing clean highs and tight lows, while the V30 adds grit and grind to the mids.
It feels like every frequency is present.

Give me a f*cking break. $345 for one speaker is ridiculous. There are PLENTY of amazing speakers for half that.
And who the hell wants to carry an amp that has heavy speakers like that in it? 16 lbs? Please. Zakk has roadies. Most of us carry our sh*t.

:laugh2: It's funny because I checked out these speakers online and commented to my wife about how much they cost and she looked at me like I was nuts. She went off on me and asked me why I wasn't as concerned with prices when I bought my 14 guitars and four amps!!!
I played through 12L's in the past and I thought they sounded incredible. They've just been hard to find these days, at least not without needing a recone. Has anybody tried these yet?? I'm very curious.
