Keith Richards' dark gritty Tele sound

I'm going to be starting a Tele project guitar shortly and I'm looking to try and emulate Keith Richards' dark gritty Tele sound from back in the 70's and 80's. I was thinking of going with the seth lover humbucker in the neck position and the vintage for broadcaster in the bridge position. Any better ideas?

That would be a great set up. If you find the Broadcaster too bright, go with a JD and you're set.

My James Burton Tele is routed for a neck humbucker, tho I have an old alnico 5 Tele Stock neck pickup in it now, with a Duncan Jerry Donahue for the bridge pickup.

I just got a White Pearl pickguard from WD routed for a neck humbucker and plan to install a neck humbucker next week.

I'm kinda after Albert Collins' tone with this next experiment.

The neck pickups I'm considering are:

Seth Lover
Antiquity
Pearly Gates

Those are my three faves.

I plan to use a five way switch with the 5 settings being:

1. neck HB split/single coil
2. neck HB split/single coil & bridge JD
3. bridge JD
4. neck humbucking & bridge JD
5. neck humbucking
