Kepur straps

I was just looking at Kepur straps at Musicians Friend, and found the most stupid assed comment in the review section. This guy was going on about how great the Kepur strap was. He remarked that "normal" straps pop right off his Les Paul because of the top button's placement. He describes how he'd have to catch the guitar on it's way to the floor. He then says "but I didn't wanna buy straplocks."

WTF?!?! :cussing: "Oh, I bought an electric guitar, and I can't hear it, but I don't wanna buy an amplifier." "Oh, I work 25 miles from home, and need a way to get there, but I don't wanna buy a car." Maybe I'm just in a bad mood, but that really pisses me off, for whatever reason.


BTW, does anyone use Kepur straps?

I find it stupid but it doesn't make me mad. If the stupid kid wants to chip his LP then let him.

I wonder about the straps too. They look nice but how strong can they be if their stitchless?

I don't use the keper straps, but the other guitarist in my band and my bass player use them. My guitarist got the cheapest ones they had and my bass player got one that was a little more expensive. They are pretty strong, both have had theirs for at least a year or longer and theyve held up along many live shows. They take alot of getting used to though, i had to borrow my guitarists a couple times and they're really uncomfortable if your used to regular nylon straps. They're made of rubber or something but seem pretty durable. If your looking for strap lock replacements, dont buy the keper and think its going to be as good. My guitarists strap came feel off of the strap button during a show and it messed his guitar up pretty bad. They seem like decent straps though.

Yeah, I like the Kepur straps, but I still use schaller strap locks with them. But Kepur kinda markets them like you don't need to use strap locks with them so that's probably why the guy thinks he can not use the stap locks. He'll learn. :saeek:
