any keyboards players here ? its one of the instruments I play , along with guitars and vocals . but my gear priority is basically guitar . the only keyboard I have nowadays is a Casio CTK 2200 , which is OK , but the drum patterns are pretty band and limited . I m thinking about buying a very outdated and cheap old model of casio only because it have better drum patterns than this one I presently have . only because of the drums , because I records drums from the keyboard trying to create drum lines for songs I can´t find the MIDIs anywhere ...

There are some formally trained pianists. There are some who plonk about on keys. There are some, like me, who claim non-musician status (in the style of Brian Eno) and use synthesizers to create noises.

the only keyboard I have nowadays is a Casio CTK 2200 , which is OK , but the drum patterns are pretty bland and limited.

Well, a home keyboard is always likely to come supplied with inoffensive sounds and rhythmic patterns.

How much better? Enough to justify the additional expense?

I records drums from the keyboard trying to create drum lines for songs I can´t find the MIDIs anywhere.

Programming convincing drum parts from a MIDI keyboard takes a great deal of practice and finger agility. The Roland GS/GM convention assigns the drum and percussion sounds to individual keys in a manner that is easy to organise but difficult to play with any natural hand and finger movements.

If you want to get seriously creative, it may be wiser to keep your existing keyboard and use it to trigger instrument sounds in a computer.

+1 to FF. If you have MIDI out on the keyboard, getting it connected to a computer is easy enough; then you can use samples and synths 'in the box' and it will sound, on balance, WAY better than and old, cheap keyboard's internal soundset.
