Kim Thayil ~~> his amp of choice?

Does anybody know for sure what amps/cabs/pedals Kim used on "louder" and "Badmotor" ..?

I coulda sworn he was using PV classic 50 heads and 4x10 cabs when I saw them during badmotor .. and I've heard from others who say he used PV VTM(N?) and mesa dual rec's ... but I'm thinking the mesa's came into play later on.

I've searched all over and cant seem to find much of anything on his gear

I can't tell when ^this^ was taken ... but this is about all I've come up w/. anyone got this "useless" info floating around in their melon>>??

All I remember was hearing that he was using Peavey Butcher's ... but no reliable sources

in the early days it was a Peavy VTM...they have a huge amount of bottom end, he pucked the front end with a Boss overdrive of some sort. Later on the Mesa's came in to action. I have an old interview, I'll see if I can dig it up!

THAYIL ROCKS!!!! He's so underrated!

He was using Peavey's when they opened for G-n-R (badmotor)... but I also saw him with Dual Rects and Plexis at a show in Boston... not sure which was Chris' or Kim's? After BMF it was Boogies.

I saw the Superunknown Tour & it was Boogies & Marshalls.

I assumed Cornell was using the Marshalls & Thayil the boogies, but I'm not sure. I just dig those Guilds he played/plays !!
