Kinman vs. Bill Lawrence?

Hey.

I've been to the Kinman and Bill Lawrence websites and after reading through the information about pickups that thay have on their sites I am totally confused because they are preaching two different gospels.

Kinman says one thing, Lawrence says another.
Kinman says Alnico 2 is the only way to go, Bill Says otherwise.

If any of you have experience with both pickups or with either one of them let me know because I cannot decide between the two.

Thanx

There's not one right answer unfortunatly.

The ultimate tone is what your ears prefer ... Me? I prefer A5's myself although I love Ceramics as well and want to try out a Pearly Gates which has an A2 mag in it.

Personally I love The L500 that I tried back in the day but to be honest you got to give some information as to the kind of sounds you're looking for

Just my .02

I have tried both, and was not happy with either one. I recommened Duncan pups.

I think Kinman recommends A5, not A2. None of the Kinman pickups that I'm aware of use A2 magnets.

That's my understanding as well...
