Klon (or klone) with higher gain amps?

I won a PCE Aluminum Falcon and am just wondering if anyone has tried a klon circuit for boosting a gained up Marshall esque amp?

I tried a KOT... I miss the mid push. Thing was GREAT into a clean amp, but for my needs it was too flat.

Fulldrive 3... I actually prefer my FD2 Mosfet for boosting, but it's clean boost is SHWEET!

I am thinking of starting a Youtube channel with pedal demos into dirty amps as everyone else does it for clean amps and blues. Us chuggers and riffers get the shaft for overdrive demos!

A Klon makes your amp richer, bigger, and adds mild smooth gain. I'm sure you'll be pleased, unless you like a really crunchy high end, and the Klon smooths it out more than you like.

With some OD pedals, you turn it on and you get more gain, but the size of the tone gets narrower and more focused, ie Boss, MXR, TS etc. Cleaner fatter boosts don't do that as bad.

Cool. Thanks for the info. The King of Tone sounded great by itself, but suprisingly with my rig I got lost in the mix during practice. I read the klon style stuff can sound big yet still cut through so fingers crossed.

I checked those out and yes, they are pretty much the same (tasty playing btw). The OD-820 was my other choice.
