I don't need to trade or sell this, just thought I'd see what was available. This is the guitar I recently built. Great project, lots of fun!
Hi everyone... I have a real nice custom-built Mark Knopfler replica for trade. The guitar is a relic version of the Knopfler strat and really captures the vintage vibe. The guitar is comprised of:
- Fiesta Red Fender Body
- Fender Classic 60's Reissue neck
- Fender full-block tremolo
- Gotoh vintage tuners
- All new parchment Strat kit
- Fender Texas Specials CS pickups
- Gator HSC
As mentioned, the guitar is in relic condition, which was the point of the project. The neck itself is in great condition and is very playable with plenty of life in the frets. The headstock has some dings, and a hairline crack between two of the tuners. The crack is a surface crack only (you can't even see it in the tuner holes if you remove the tuners). It really adds to the flavor of the guitar. The tuners are new, as is the bridge. The body has nurmerous dings, scratches, and marks. From 5 feet away (as you can see in the photos) it looks new - red is a great color for that. But, make no mistake, it is relic'd - naturally!!!!
Essentially, the electronics, plastic, and metal are all new (inside of 6 months). The neck and body are relic'd. That gives you the best of the "look" while maintaining functionality and playability with the tuners and bridge and pups.
The Gator hardcase is basically new (less than a year old).
Ok, ok, ok... so what am I looking for? I have two ideas - which are VERY different from one another!!!
My first choice is a Telecaster of some kind. My prefrence would be an Ash Tele (like the MIM ash special edition, NOT ther Korean Ash) or a Highway 1 Tele. I'm open to other Tele offers, but those are my targets.
The second option would be a Floyd-Rose equipped guitar (I told you they were different!!). I'd love a Strat with a floyd, but I'm open to other Floyd options. No "house-brand" guitars please (yes, that means Agile).
I wouldn't be opposed to a SG either.
BTW, the guitar comes with trem bar and parchment tip, and parchment backplate. The pickguard only has 4 screws that line-up, so I can drill the rest for you, or leave as-is.
The picture showing the back is showing a reflection, not a huge scratch!!!!
